Self-Defence Course 24th February - Book Now

Statistics show that violent crime, particularly knife crime, and sexual assault are on the increase.  From walking home after work, walking to the local shops, nights out with friends to the growing out door running trend, people are becoming more at risk.

Due to this it is becoming imperative for people to equip themselves with the skills to be more aware of potential situations, diffuse this if possible and if they are unlucky enough to be involved in a violent incident, to be able to effectively deal with that situation.

We will be delivering a self-defence workshop for members and non-members on the 24th February from 10am -12pm at Warwick Space Coten End, Warwick.

Warwick-TKD Grading Promotions & Student of the Year Awards

17 coloured belt students from Warwick-TKD attended the T-UK Central region block grading in Stratford upon Avon at the weekend. After a tough promotion test testing their abilities to deliver techniques, patterns, set sparring, free sparring, self defence techniques and destruction for the higher grades I am pleased to announce that all 17 passed. Well done all of you, it shows that putting in hard work and preparing properly reaps rewards.

New additions to the Instructor team

We take pride in the mentoring of our students at Warwick-TKD; even before students take their black belts we begin to mentor them in correct teaching methods and give them sections of the class to lead under the watchful eye of the experienced Instructors.  As their skills and confidence grow we put more and more responsibility on to them.

This month saw Jack and Molly Rowe successfully take their 2nd Degree black belts. They started TKD at ages 5 and 4 years old respectively, they are now 18 and 17 years old and have been on the mentoring program for a couple of years.

Warwick-TKD Investment in Excellence

It was great to see so many of Warwick-TKD instructors and black belts attending the T-UK Technical course today in Stratford-upon-Avon.

A great opportunity for those grading in a couple of weeks to look for improvements, identify those final areas in need of attention and practice their general technical abilities. Instructors a good day checking their technical knowledge asking questions and looking for excellence to pass on to the club members. As an instructor its very pleasing to see how you have all progressed and improved through hard work and diligence.

Well done all investing in your personal growth and development as well as improving for the good of the club and the members.
