2023 saw a very successful year for our clubs, new promotions to black belt, exceptional A pass results from each of the coloured belt area gradings, multiple world champions from the T-UK British Championships.
This made choosing the adult and junior students of the year very difficult.
In the end the Instructor team landed on the most deserving members. The criteria for the award is predicated on attendance, effort, attitude, overcoming challenges, taking on instruction and applying it, being a role model.
We are please to announce that we are supporting our Military personal, Emergency Services personal and their families by offering a 20% discount to any one holding a Defence Discount Service card or a Blue Light card.
In their day to day working lives these people are putting themselves in potentially vulnerable violent environments. We believe that we can assist them in their working lives and make it more cost effective at the same time.
This week we have seen three more knife attacks with fatalities in all cases, Jodie Chesney aged 17 in an unprovoked attack in London and Yousef Makki aged 17 in Manchester. These victims aren’t your typical gang member but young people from good families and neighbourhoods.
Looking at the BBC crime statistics we can see that knife attack rates are the highest they have ever been since records began and where we are based in the West Midlands, we are the second worst area for knife crime in England and Wales with only London being higher!!

This video is for beginners who are just starting out in Taekwon-Do. It shows you how to tie your Taekwon-Do belt. Note that this video teaches you to wrap the belt only once around the waist. Other martial arts may wrap the belt twice but I explain why it is wrapped once in ITF Taekwon-Do.
