WLTKD’s chief instructor Mr Martin Noddings came out of a 7 year retirement from competing for last weekends Inter-services championships, an annual competition between the RAF, Army and Navy.
The competition was held at the naval base HMS Nelson, Portsmouth in their glass roofed sports hall on an exceptionally hot day, the temperature reaching 32 degrees.
The competition began with the sparring split down into two weight categories and each fight being 2 x 2 minute rounds. The competition was fierce as expected with a lot of young military personal competing for their respective services.
I am pleased to announce that we have a new club to add to our exsisting portfolio which will be held at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre in Leamington Spa. This cements further our excellent relationship and partnership with Everyone Active.
Classes will be held every Thursday from the 9th January from 7-8pm in the main sports hall. As with the Warwick classes they will be a family class allowing parents and their children to train at the same time for convenience.
The classes will be mainly run by Mr Martin Noddings and Miss Molly Rowe with the assistance, when necessary, from the other Assistant Instructors from Warwick which will create an excellent consistency of quality across both clubs.
The added benefit to opening up the Leamington club is that it will give members of both clubs the ability to train 3 nights a week if they wanted with no price increase from the existing £40 per month unlimited club night training package which equates to £3.33 per class.

Another T-UK British Championships is done and dusted with some excellent results from the awesome Warwick students. For a number of the students this was their first competition so some anxious white and yellow tag competitors, but a big step forward on their journey for personal growth and development as well as some silverware to take home. The T-UK MCM Championships were held on Sunday in Stratford with a number of other organisations attending making it a successful and full day of competition.

The Mark Scriven Memorial Champs will be held at Stratford upon Avon Leisure Centre on the 16th July.
It is now 2 years since Mark passed away on April 10th 2015. The event is normally run every April to commemorate his passing however, due to Easter Holidays & busy calendars this was not possible this year. The championships will consist of:
